Welcome to the Hartford Firefighters' Association
The Hartford Firefighters Association, I.A.F.F. Local 760, represents the uniformed members of the City of Hartford Fire Department in Hartford, CT. Organized in 1943, the Hartford Firefighters' Association is dedicated to the protection of it's members safety, rights and benefits. The Hartford Firefighters' Association is comprised of the 370 professional firefighters that work for the City of Hartford Fire Department. The Hartford Firefighters Association is an affiliate of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF Local 760), and member of the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut.

IN THE LINE OF DUTY | Richard A. Nappi Local Number: L0854 Location: New York, NY It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Richard A. Nappi of IAFF Local 854 - Uniformed Fire Officers Association, New York, New York. Brother Nappi, 47, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 from a heart attack while battling a three-alarm fire in Brooklyn. The Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 and Friday, April 20, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Avenue, Lake Ronkonkoma, New York 11779, (631) 588-1515. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 800 Portion Road, Lake Ronkonkoma, New York 11779, (631) 737-4388. IN THE LINE OF DUTY | Robert P. Neary/Daniel Sweeney Local Number: L0022 Location: Philadelphia, PA It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty deaths of Lieutenant Robert P. Neary and Fire Fighter Daniel Sweeney of IAFF Local 22 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brothers Neary, 59, and Sweeney, 25, died on Monday, April 9, 2012 from injuries sustained while battling a five-alarm fire and subsequent building collapse. Brother Neary leaves a wife and three adult children. The Visitation for Brother Neary will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19154, (215) 281-0100. Prior to the visitation, there will be a procession to the funeral home. Fire department personnel and IAFF members will assemble beginning at 2:30 p.m. Both the Memorial service and Interment will be private. More details on the procession and visitation will be provided tomorrow. The Visitation for Brother Sweeney will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19111, (215) 725-1240.
